Influencing, Content Creating & Social Media Lessons with Kylie Katich
Thursday Aug 22, 2019
Thursday Aug 22, 2019
On episode No. 17 of the Cafe Binge Podcast, I have Kylie Katich (@kyliekatich) here, talking about all things social media, branding, content creating and influencing. Kylie made the full-time leap to social media influencer and teacher, as she shows others how to create an authentic brand, how to capture creative content, and how to use props, locations and poses you'd never think of! This girl is on FIRE.
Kylie is influencing in the best way by using her creative genius to help others. She offers behind the scenes footage of her shoots, showing how to photograph creatively, offers editing tips AND has a whole line of both desktop & mobile presets to help you with easy editing. She's the creator of trending hashtags #impostingboth (ig vs. reality shots) & #copykatich (re-creating posts of hers).
In this episode, Kylie opens up about the moment she started taking herself seriously & how it changed her career trajectory--others even responded differently to her, including her husband & brands that wanted to work with her. She shares how to successfully pitch yourself to brands, so that you can make $$ now (because you don'y need 800k followers first)! She also shares how to deal with criticism & how to confidently pose for, and take photos by yourself (hint: the secret is in NOT caring what others think!)

On episode No, 16 of the Cafe Binge Podcast, I have on, guest Julie Taylor (@thejulietaylor) who's here dropping major truth bombs. Good truth bombs, though. The kinds of truths that no one else will talk about. From postpartum depression & anxiety, to food addiction and wanting to call it quits on motherhood, Julie shares the rock bottom moments, so that we as women feel safe and brave enough to do so.
Julie is a wellness mentor and an advocate for women, with a mission to empower those along her path to gain complete freedom by prioritizing what they value and allowing others to do the same. We talk about dropping limiting beliefs and "shoulds," then creating your own set of unique rules. We discuss true self care vs self indulgence, taking responsibility for our shi*, and giving ourself permission to feel completely worthy, accepted & loved no matter where we're at or what we have done. We're ok.
Julie's message is, simply put, "you do you." Which is also the title of her book. A how-to guide on how to be yourself and "do you," when you don't know how. Find "You Do You: A How To" here.

Nora shares the difference between connection vs love, how getting the "connection" from your tribe, not your partner is a game changer.
